We know that this has been a hard time for everyone and we are here to support you when you are ready to travel again! Your comfort and security is our top priority, so we have revamped our entire operational plan to ensure your safety and enjoyment during your adventure with Fresh Adventures.

For your financial security we have made some changes to our booking policies to ensure your investment is safe and you are treated fairly. For your health and well being, we have created a new health and safety plan to ensure you can travel in a safe environment and focus on the important things, like enjoying you adventure!

Effective: June 2020 through September 2022. Please note our COVID practices are now matching the Alberta and BC government guidelines and current COVID-19 health regulations. Regulations like mask wearing are no longer being enforced. We encourage you to practice safe hygiene and are hear to help you stay safe.

small groups and loads of fresh air

Social distancing is what we do best! With so much wild open space, it’s natural to have all the distance you need to ensure your safety.

We’ve always believed in small groups for the best experience, and now the most safety as well. Our maximum group size is 12 guests with 2 guides.

Because our adventures take place in such wide open spaces, we are lucky to feature the best in social distancing. During your tour with us, you will be able to breathe some of the cleanest air on Earth.

Enhanced Cleaning and hygiene

We are working to ensure everything you come in contact with is super clean during your tour. Here are a few measures we have planned to help ensure this:

• Van sanitized each morning, and after each day

• All group gear cleaned after each use

• Food handling and kitchen equipment cleaned after each use

Face coverings and hand washing

During your tour we will be helping to make it easy for you to keep germs at bay and do your part. While most of our tours are outside in widen open wilderness spaces, you won’t have to wear a mask during the majority of your tour. Below are the guidelines that we are following to ensure your tour is a safe experience:

• We will provide masks for each guest (we encourage you to bring your own if you have them accessible)

• We will be providing hand sanitizer to each guest

• Everyone is required to wear a face mask while travelling in the van

• Everyone is required to sanitize their hands before entering the van and we recommend doing it again upon exiting

• Everyone is required to clean hands before each meal

We are making it easier than ever to enjoy your own private room during your tour. We are currently offering private rooms at half price to make them more accessible to you during your adventure.

pre-trip health monitoring

Before your tour we will be reaching out to you with an updated pre-trip medical questionnaire. The purpose of this questionnaire is to check in and see if you are feeling or showing any signs of COVID. If you are, we encourage you to see a doctor and get tested asap. Rest assured, if you have a positive COVID test within the no cancellation period before your tour, we will work with you to re-book you on another tour in the future, with no penalty. In the days leading up to your trip we ask you to monitor your health, and be cautious in your travel to get to your tour.

travelling in our vans

We are taking very significant precautions to endure your safety during travel in our vans. Your guide will be sanitizing every surface in the van each morning, before use, and after use each day.

You will be assigned a seat for each day to reduce any cross contamination.

Everyone will be asked to use hand sanitizer before entering the van and will be required to wear a mask. When possible, we will open the windows in the van to ensure lots of fresh air.

Food preparation

Our guides are well versed in food prep and perform in accordance with Canadian health and safety regulations. To further ensure safety our guides will be continuing to wash their hands prior to touching food, and will wear a face covering while cooking.

We will also be plating everyone’s food for them to reduce the risk of disease transmission, though you are welcome to seconds and thirds!

First aid and evacuation

Our guides are highly trained in first aid and carry extensive first aid kits on your tour. Please let them know if you are feeling unwell during your adventure and they will assist you. If you are in need of further help they will help you access medical attention.

Our base stands behind our guides and they have our full support during your tour.

post-trip communication

We have everyone’s contact information noted down and encourage you to keep in touch with us after your tour. If you develop symptoms or test positive after your tour we ask you to communicate this with us. If we receive information that someone on your tour has developed COVID symptoms or tested positive, we will immediately reach out to everyone who came in contact with that person.
