We’ve created the ultimate mix of self-drive, DIY, socially distant adventure with a guided, carefully planned small group experience!

Join us on a guided small group ski and snowboard tour of the Powder Highway this winter, exploring some of the most legendary ski resorts of Canada, and several of the most iconic mountain towns along the way.

You drive, we take care of the rest!

This is the perfect Powder Highway roadtrip and here is how it works: We meet you in Calgary and pick up a load of winterized campervans, one of which will be yours for the trip. It has room for your ski gear, can sleep up to four adults, has a hot shower, toilet and kitchen, plus a piping hot propane heater. We drive from mountain town to mountain town, skiing epic powder at each resort we visit along the way.

Your Fresh Adventures guide is there in their own campervan to take care of everything, from dinner reservations, trip logistics and to guide you around each mountain. Skiing or snowboarding with our local guides means that you can skip getting lost and go straight to skiing the best lines and local powder stashes at each mountain.

Our guides are there to take care of everything and guide you around each mountain!

Not only is this the perfect solution to the pandemic and social distancing, it is also something every adventurous skier and snowboarder should do at least once on the Powder Highway. You’ll be soaking in hot springs, crossing mountain lakes by ferry, skiing the most epic snow in North America, and tasting the best food in each of these towns.

We’ve got this planned to a T, so you get the full experience in a surprisingly comfortable trip. The RV’s are warm and comfortable, with ample head room, a propane heater and all the bathroom amenities you need after a long day on the slopes. Most often we camp out at the base of each mountain, so you kind of get ski in/ ski out accommodation too! This guided campervan ski trip on the Powder Highway is the ultimate socially distant ski trip in Canada!

  • Itinerary

Day 1- Group Meeting, RV Pick Up and Tansfer to Fernie!: Meet your local guide and the rest of your new ski buddies at the RV center in Calgary (shuttle provided), and pick up your rolling home for the next week. As a group we talk about the route and drive in a convoy to Fernie, a few scenic hours down the road and have a delicious dinner on arrival. After dinner we pop by a liquor and grocery store to grab a few supplies and head to our base for the night, where we park our RV's and socialize, before getting some rest.

Day 2- Ski Fernie's 5 Alpine Bowls!: Wake up at the base of the mountain with Fernie's 5 epic alpine bowls towering above us. After a quick stop at a cafe we hit the slopes and begin exploring Fernie as a group. We do a few warm up runs to get everyone's legs back under them, and see what the group ski dynamic is like. If necessary, we break into groups to enjoy skiing with skiers and snowboarders of similar level, with your guide for the day. Over the course of the day we cover the entire mountain, which is no easy feat at Fernie!

Day 3- Ski More Of Fernie, Drive To Nelson: Another perfect winter day to explore the endless tree runs and open bowls of Fernie. You and your guide may venture into the far corners of the resort and possibly even hike for a few minutes to access some lesser known lines that beckon with untouched powder secrets. At the end of the ski day we get changed and drive a few hours down a really beautiful highway to Nelson, stopping for dinner on the way.

Day 4- Ski Whitewater's "Coldsmoke" Powder Another delicious breakfast and locally roasted coffee and it's time to dive into the legendary Whitewater snow. They call it "Coldsmoke", because it's so light and fluffy it wisps all over you like smoke. We are going to bury our skis in the abundant white stuff, exploring a range of tree runs at Whitewater, with impressive views of Ymir Peak always looming. Treat yourself during lunch, because Whitewater is not just known for their snow- they also produce best selling cookbooks, which is reflected in their mouthwatering menu. If you are up for it tonight, we can head out to some hot springs nearby, soaking in a steamy cave and soothing those legs, or you can opt for some free time to relax.

Day 5- Best Tree Skiing in Canada, Drive to Revelstoke: Another incredible day of skiing Whitewater Ski Resort on your guided campervan tour of the Powder Highway. The term socially distant ski trip is natural here, because there is just so much space and fresh air. It's rare to see other skiers and snowboarders in the trees, and the snowy blanket makes everything perfectly silent. After skiing today we hit the road, driving along Slocan Lake and Arrow Lake to Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Along the way we may stop in for a soak in some more hot springs.

Day 6- Ski North America's Longest Vertical Drop: Take your vitamins because today is leg burning day! We are going to spend the day exploring as much of Revelstoke's massive area as we can. Open trees on the frontside, tighter trees on the backside, massive alpine bowls and epic snow everywhere make for an amazing day of your guided campervan ski trip. Your guide will make sure you get the real goods at Revelstoke, exploring powder stash after powder stash on your ski week. Tonight we park with epic views of the surrounding mountains and try some of the best food in town.

Day 7- Exploring Revelstoke's Powder Bowls: What would you do with one more day in Revelstoke? Ski more?! That's just what we will do! Spend another day trying out the best powder skiing in canada with your local guide. Some of the hiking terrain we may check out makes this the ski week of a lifetime!

Day 8- Drive to Golden, Ski Kicking Horse's Epic Alpine: We wake up bright and early this morning and head up through Roger's Pass to the quiet town of Golden. With your coffeee steaming away, we will hope to hit the pass just in time for sunrise, as the peaks light up a brilliant orange in all directions. Once we get to Kicking Horse you are in for a treat, challenging your legs on the steepest ski terrain in Canada. Your ski and snowboard guide will show you the best runs, most of which would be missed by the average visitor and even many of the locals. If you're really up for a burn, you can hike to Terminator Peak for some untouched snow and ski lines that will make your legs shake. This place is paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Tonight we camp out with gorgeous views of the Rockies all around us.

Day 9- Scenic Drive to Calgary Through Banff: Well, you made it! This morning we stop for a perfectly roasted coffee and head East through Yoho and Banff national parks. Enjoy some of the most famous scenery in Canada on our way back to Calgary. Time permitting, we may stop for lunch in Banff, before dropping off your RV and departing. We will miss you, but look forward to our next adventure with you!
