BC Ski & SNowboard camp Details

  • Please note: itineraries on our British Columbia ski packages are subject to change in order to provide the best and safest experience possible. This is a rough idea of what to expect:

Day 1- Pick up & Transfer

    • Calgary pick up @ 2 pm

    • Meeting at Marriott Downtown Hotel

    • Check in to hotel in Golden for 6 nights

    Day 2- Kick The Horse.

Shake the dust off on some fun warm up laps, exploring the resort in the morning. Kicking Horse is known for steep alpine terrain so throughout the day we get into some more advanced terrain and assess everyone’s level and make a plan.

    Day 3- Steep and Deep

Today we spend the morning working on some skills custom tailored to you with the goal of getting you more confident in expert mountain terrain. In the afternoon we bootpack to a few of the best lines at the mountain and put our new skills to the test.

Day 4- Ski It To Believe It

Our last inbounds day is spent working on some last minute ski and snowboard progression and then some more practice on the most advanced runs at Kicking Horse. We get into some fun situations with difficult entrances and play with some optional exposure to get you comfortable thinking on your feet in mountain terrain. You can always opt out and take an easier line so there is nothing to worry about. At the end of the day we spend some time getting familiar with avalanche safety gear and make sure you are dialed in to your backcountry touring equipment.

    Day 5- Into The Backcountry

Today we meet our local backcountry guide and head up for a few safety clinics and get ready to venture out of bounds. We duck the rope and head into the epic sidecountry that Kicking Horse has to offer. This is your chance to learn or practice switching to walk mode and travel uphill in the backcountry. We focus on safety, terrain selection, group dynamics and good old fashioned common sense in the backcountry. At the end of the day we zip back to the base and grab a cold one to rehydrate.

    Day 6- Backcountry Day Two

Spend another day ski touring and splitboarding the best terrain in the area and using your new skills to smoothly travel in this powder paradise. With 2-3 experienced guides and trip leaders around you will have lots of opportunity to pick up new tricks and learn the right way to do things. Of course you can just enjoy the blower pow as well!
